ITD Practice Sessions Focus

ITD instructors focus ITD Students on NCECC® preparation and the clinical skills and techniques relevant to current Canadian standards and that must be performed as if students are working with actual patients. ITD Instructors also provide guidance on infection control practices, clinical care guidelines and standards, and inter-personal communication.

— Class II Composite Restoration
— Class IV Composite Restoration
— Endodontic Access Cavity Preparation

— and Infection Control and Safety

Student Equipment and Supplies

ITD Dentistry Practice Centre is equipped fully powered A-Dec™ dental simulators fitted with manikin heads and typodonts. Each student station includes a standard dental compressed air connection, appropriate water source, dental suction and lighting.

All necessary dental armamentarium, instruments, materials, and supplies detailed in the NDECC® Practical Guide, must be purchased and provided by ITD Registered Students.

Candidates must also purchase a suitable sock of the simulated teeth for clinical skills practice as listed in the NDECC® protocol. Kilgore International has simulated teeth available.
