Biography:
Dr. Ankur Rampal studied at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research (SGRD), in Amritsar, and was awarded his Bachelor of Dental Surgery B.D.S. by Baba Farid University of Heath Sciences (BFUHS), in 2012.
In pursuit of larger ambitions, Dr. Rampal settled in Canada. After arriving on a Canadian Student Visa, he completed his Dental Assistant Level 2, National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) Certificate. And then after completing the Canadian Immigration process, he qualified as Professional Dentist in Ontario by passing the DDS (Canadian equivalency) Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) Exam, in 2018.
Dr. Rampal purchased and renovated a training facility. The ITD Dentistry Practice Centre, located in the heart of Mississauga, focuses on helping the Internationally Trained Dentist with exam preparation and clinical practice so they can pass required Dental Board Exams. The Centre also provides an introduction to the industry program for students who wish to pursue degrees at Canadian Universities.
The ITD Training Centre has invested in modern equipment, A-Dec™ Workstations, dental chairs, and patient mannequins so students get close to ‘real world’ experience. The Centre hires friendly professional instructors that provide structured content through lectures and live presentations. Practice Lab access is maximized and class sized are kept to a minimum. Each student is provided an assessment on registration and then ample one-on-one individual instruction and work checks.
When not in the office, Dr. Rampal engages himself by going to the gym. He is an automobile and boating enthusiast who enjoys travelling. •

Biography:
Dr. Aman Sharma is an ITD Dentistry Instructor who is focused on simplifying the preparation and practice process for the NDECC® Clinical Skills exam component.
Dr. Sharma earned his BDS in 2012 in Amritsar, Punjab. He managed his own dental clinic and played a pivotal role in operationalizing a dental department in a local charitable hospital.
In 2022, he moved to Canada and embarked on his DDS Canadian Equivalency journey by the passing the NDEB’s AFK™ in February 2023 and their ACJ™ in November 2023.
Dr. Sharma successfully completed the NDECC® Exam in January 2025. He passed on his first attempt. •
